Therapy & Counselling for the Wives, Partners and Families of Sex & Porn Addicts

In the past final specialist support was difficult for sex and porn addicts and their families. The chances of finding a suitably trained therapist near you was unlikely. However, with the rise of on-line sessions you can speak face to face with a specialist no matter were you or they are.

  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling changes not just the lives of individuals, but of families and communities.

Our desire for social justice determines everything we do and guides our relationship with our members and the public, as well as commissioners and government. It’s why we champion the counselling professions as a viable, and increasingly evidence-based choice for people. We know counselling works.

  • Relate

We have a network of Relate Centres across the UK and a group of licensed local counsellors that provide face-to-face counselling and support. Our counselling services include relationship counselling, family counselling, mediation, children's counselling, young people's counselling and sex therapy. For those who are in more need of a quick chat than ongoing support, we offer 30 minute chats with a counsellor over the phone or on web chat, or one session therapy designed to tackle a specific issue and see results straight away.

  • APSATS - The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists

APSATS is an organization that was created to provide the type of treatment partners need in the face of their spouse’s sexual addiction or serial infidelity. APSATS developed a treatment model that depicted “partners of sex addicts” in a new and different way recognizing the trauma they faced as a result of their spouse’s behaviours and betrayal.

APSATS created the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPTM), which supports working with the partner and the person with addictive behaviour using a new orientation that dramatically shifts the perspective of how partners and addicts are viewed in the couple ship.
