
Am I a Sex & Porn Addict?
Signs that a person may be a sex and porn addict include:
Compulsive sexual behaviours: Frequent engagement in sexual activities, such as excessive porn watching and masturbation, multiple sexual partners, or involvement in high-risk sexual activities.
Preoccupation with sex: Continuous thoughts or fantasies about sexual experiences, which may interfere with daily functioning.
Escalating behaviours: The need for increased intensity, frequency, or variety of sexual experiences to achieve satisfaction.
Loss of control: Repeated inability to control or stop sexual behaviours, despite negative consequences.
Neglect of responsibilities: Neglecting work, personal relationships, or other obligations due to excessive focus on sexual activities.
Continuation, despite negative consequences: Persistent engagement in sexual behaviours despite relationship problems, emotional distress, or physical health issues.
Failed attempts to quit: Unsuccessful efforts to reduce or eliminate sexual behaviours.
Emotional turmoil: Experiencing intense guilt, shame, or anxiety related to sexual activities.
Secrecy and lying: Keeping sexual behaviours hidden from others, such as partners or family members, and lying about these activities.
Relationship difficulties: Strained or broken intimate relationships due to breaches of trust, infidelity, or emotional disconnection caused by the addiction.
