The Laurel Centre is the home of ISAT – the Institute for Sex Addiction Training who provide training to professionals within a BioPsychoSocial framework.

ISAT was formed in 2014 as a result of receiving so many requests from professionals for training. Our training in sex and porn addiction counselling started in 2011 when we helped develop the ATSAC Professional Certificate in Sex Addiction Therapy which was warmly received for many years until ATSAC ceased to be a training organisation. Since then we have gone on to develop our Diploma in Working with Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder and Sex Addiction (CPCAB Accredited Level 5) as well as our Introductory Certificate for organisations. We also provide CPD days online and from our Leamington office and can tailor make training events to suit the particular needs of health professionals and client groups.

CSAT is the premier professional designation for one of the most rapidly growing fields in behavioral science. Compulsive and addictive sexual behavior affects the lives of millions of people worldwide, and every day therapists are on the front lines treating this epidemic – often without the tools they need. IITAP strives to provide very high-quality seminars, using faculty that are successful leaders in the field using interactive and experiential teaching methods. In some of our programs we require additional supervision or continuing education when teaching complex or evolving topics to make sure our members are as prepared as possible. We frequently assess the needs of our members to determine what courses and topics are most relevant for them.

The Institute for Sexual Health (ISH) is the official resource for education and professional trainings in Deceptive Sexuality and Trauma Treatment (DSTT) and Intentional Vibe Trauma Treatment (IVTT). Founded in 2009 by Dr. Minwalla, ISH was one of the first and only U.S. treatment centers to challenge the “co-sex addict” model and articulate the systemic abuse associated with infidelity and compulsive sexual behavior disorder. The Institute for Sexual Health (ISH) is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Institute for Sexual Health maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

The TCT programs are designed to provide a curriculum that will prepare clinicians to work with a wide array of behavioural health and social concerns in a variety of treatment settings.
